What is rETH?

Ethereum which is liquid staked with the Rocket Pool protocol is represented by the rETH, the most decentralised Liquid Staking Token (LST). Value is accrued to rETH by gradual price appreciation over time, making for more favourable taxation characteristics and more seamless integration into the Ethereum ecosystem.

In addition to creating and redeeming rETH via the Rocket Pool protocol directly, rETH can be swapped on secondary markets such as decentralised exchanges. The provides liquid stakers with flexibility plus the ability to earn rewards while retaining strong utility with eg DeFi opportunities.
